Ross and Gilda’s wedding

Happy New Year everyone. I hope you’ve had a good start to the year 2017.

There’s some big changes for me afloat. I passed my photography degree and am pleased to tell you that I achieved top year three photography student at The Photo School graduation in December.

This year I’m stoked to have secured a part-time marketing & communications role at YMCA Greater Wellington and will also be second shooting, assisting and managing Laura Ridley Photography’s studio. Laura has just started monthly pop-in portraits, so if you’ve got a wee tot, get in touch as portraits are only $20 a pop. Both roles also enable me to build up my business so I’m really excited about the year ahead.

Anyway, I thought I’d kick start the year with a small selection of photos from Ross and Gilda’s beautiful wedding day. Ross and Gilda got married in October last year surrounded by around 50 family and friends. I captured both the bride and groom getting ready, their ceremony at Wallaceville Church, followed by their reception at Wallaceville House (both in Upper Hutt). It really was an amazing day and I’m honoured to have captured the story of their day.

I wish them all the best for a happy future together.

If you are planning a wedding, I’m taking bookings for 2017/8 in Wellington and Wairarapa. Get in touch with me via my Facebook page ‘Elyse Childs Photography’ for more information.

Bye for now,
Elyse.
